Blocking Hotspot Shield from connecting ? was created by theimperial2004
Hi , I'm new here ...
I recently bought a Vigor 2820n and I love it !
I sat some content / URL filtering rules in the firewall to prevent network users from going to some inappoperate websites . However , they start using an application called HotSpot Shield to bypass all of my filter rules . It has multiple servers I can't track . And it uses a localhost / 127.0.01 server to connect so I couldn't block it with the URL filter .
Any ideas ?

remove local admin permissions from the clients to stop them installing is generally advised, also reduces risk from malware installing too
