PPPoE connection dropping when using Vigor 102 was created by mitchellj
Hiya,
So I have a ADSL Annex M connection setup via a Vigor 120 to a Mikrotik router (with PPPoE Client).
My ADSL line stays synched but every 1-2 hours my PPPoE tunnel drops. I switched to another brand bridge and the DSL connection stays up for 2 days without issues, I switched back and it drops.
When it drops the ADSL still stays synchd.
Any thoughts anyone?
Thanks!

Could you confirm that you have the latest version firmware installed?
You may also have one of the older power supplies, which gave me frequent drops every couple of hours. Draytek supplied a new more reliable power supply to me some months ago.
If you can give lots of details from the PSU I can check it against my stock.
Thanks and regards,
Neal

Thanks for the reply. For the avoidance of doubt, I understand the latest firmware to be 3.2.4.4
My origianl PSU was a chunky transformer "0809 GP"
My current/good PSU is a very slim switch mode type, with "upside down" label! OEM branded, ADS0066-D same input & output but with "4709 GP" as the last marking.
Perhaps the next step is to contact draytek support, they will probably ask you to telnet in and grab some logs to help find the issue.
Regards,
Neal.
