NAT one IP of subnet; Can I do this? was created by r101
Hi,
I'm with A&A and looking at buying a 2920n to go with the BT Infinity modem, and I'm wondering if I can achieve the following?
I've a block of 5 usable IPs and ideally I'd like to have the 2920 route my subnet as per usual, but have one of the IP's be the external address for the NAT i.e.
81.x.x.0 - Network Address
81.x.x.1 - Router WAN IP
81.x.x.2 - NAT - 10.0.0.1 ... 10.0.255 (WiFi in this subnet too)
81.x.x.3 - VOIP Phone
81.x.x.4 - Server
81.x.x.5 - Server
81.x.x.6 - Server
81.x.x.7 - Broadcast IP
It looks like it should be possible from reading the manual using the appropriate 1st/2nd subnet settings in the LAN->General Setup page, but it would be good to know for definite before buying one.
Cheers

Not exactly the answer - but I have had various Draytek routers and with multiple IPs they have all NATed by default on the router WAN IP.
