Nat sessions table - what does it all mean? was created by paul.lewis
Can anyone give me a simple explanation of the NAT sessions table?
I have a 2110n and have just noticed loads of IP addresses that I can't account for, some in Taiwan, Hong Kong and the US.
I have stopped Skype and can find no other apps that should be accessing the WAN so what's going on?
Thanks in advance.
Update - looking up the IP addresses via a whois service sees most entries disappear from the table. Should I be panicking about hackers here?

Hi Paul,
I can't comment on the NAT table itself but if you are worried about trojans on your system, you could do worse than install ZoneAlarm as this will prompt you before allowing any outgoing traffic and therefore possibly help to identify any "unauthorized" software installed on your machine(s).
The free version is perfectly adequate for this;
