Wake on LAN problem with Vigor 2820Vn

Local IP address of a machine (192.168.173.11) is bound to its MAC.

Using the 2820Vn's Wake on LAN function from the web interface, the option to Wake by IP address is greyed out and unavailable. Furthermore, if Wake by IP address is selected (although it can't be used), then Wake by MAC is reselected, it is no longer possible to enter a MAC (greyed out). See second page.

Fortunately WoL is not impossible; it is necessary to navigate to the WoL page, leave the setting to Wake by MAC, and enter a valid MAC. But the function is not working properly; wake by IP address is broken.

Tested with software versions 3.3.4.1_232201 and 3.3.5.1_232201, all details identical with both versions.

Problem is not cleared by rebooting router.

I'll eventually raise this with Draytek and/or SEG, but does anyone have any information confirming or contradicting this?

Incidentally, not related to Draytek router, I used to WoL locally under Windows XP by sending a magic packet to port 7 (forwarded to relevant machine) specifying MAC, with IP address & gateway both set to 255.255.255.255. This no longer works under Windows 7; sometimes works with WAN IP address, haven't tried with LAN address yet. This is why I need the 2820's web WoL. Using Depicus's program,
wolcmd 000102100A0B 255.255.255.255 255.255.255.255 7 always worked in WinXP
wolcmd 000102100A0B <WAN IP address> 255.255.255.255 7 sometimes works in Win7

Re greyed-out fields in some (not all) web configuration pages:
This happens with Firefox 4 beta 9, but not Internet Explore 9. So not a fault of the router.

Also happens in Firefox 4 beta 10.

Though I found the other day the the 3.3.5.1 was failing to wake up machines when requested (when using a differing web browser, i.e. FF 3.6.x or IE7).

Re greyed-out fields in some (not all) web configuration pages:
I reported this as a problem (details in first post of this thread, still valid), then said "This happens with Firefox, but not Internet Explorer. So not a fault of the router."

I have just tried to do this again, and now find that the browser versions current as of 9 May 11 of Firefox (4.0), Internet Explorer (9, with latest patches), and Google Chrome ALL grey out the MAC field; now using 2820Vn with firmware 3.3.5.2_232201 (UK). So there is an incompatibility between the Draytek web configurator and the 3 browsers listed. This is clearly something Draytek/Seg need to address.

I'll report this.

Added: Checking, I find that behaviour has changed in detail from what I reported, though still just as bad. It is now possible to enter an IP address, but not a MAC address.

Just in case its been overlooked/of some use there is a "wol up" command via the telnet interface too.

From my experience I believe the browser based GUI has always worked if you select via the bound IP address, only ever used FF3 and FF4 since RC.
