Draytek vigor 3300v 2 questions was created by jmd87
Hi,
An IT company installed a Draytek vigor 3300v in about 4 years ago and its all working fine. I have 2 questions though that this company cant answer or don't want to
1 - What is the maximum speed it can take as we want to run 3 x 27mb fiber lines into the Vigor but want to make sure it can handle that speed.
2 - The IT Company have said that the vigor is linked back to there server and that if we disconnect it from them that it will become unstable and wont balance itself etc. Is this true? or is it done automatically?
Im looking at re doing all the server room myself but need to know this before I start!
Many thanks
Joe

Do search because I read a post last week and I think it said 50MB was as much as it will take but don’t take my word for it as I have not tested it out.
I have 2 3300's but cant feed in more than 25MB over 4 ADSL lines.
Have a look in the unit and see what the config is. Login is draytek and the password default is 1234 but they may have changed it.
You can always give it a factory reset and manage it your self.

Server probably receives the logs (Syslog) from the 3300V.
