What did you do to support the protocol-41 traffic? I tried a few months back and couldn't get it to work.

To work with tunnelbroker you need to set the router to repond to pings. When i initally purchased my 2820vn this had to be done from the command line, but i *think* that later firmwares added a WebGUI option. I no longer have a 2820vn so can't check. That was the only change necessary.

Is that just when the tunnel was initially created maybe so that the broker can see the public address is up? I have my ping enabled on my 2820 but just to test I turned it off and the existing tunnel still worked. I brought the sit0 & sit1 ifs down & up on my machine and it all still functioned with ping disabled.

It is needed during the inital creation, but i think Hurricane Electric also periodically ping the IPv4 address to be sure the machine still exists.
