STATIC IP ADDRESSES was created by selectt
I have a pool of 5 IP address and have routed one of them to route to a specific machine no problem. The issue being the external application iam connecting to requires a specifically pre-defined static ip address to access its portal. As i have a pool of 5 ip addresses when i try and locate my ip address from the web ie whatismy ipaddress.com the address changes all of the time (one of the 5). is there a way of fixing the ip address to a machine ?

thanks

Does your workstation need to be on a dedicated public IP?

i.e. Could you use NAT and 1st public IP for your workstation/workstations

And hosts that need a public IP on 2nd LAN subnet - Vigor 2nd Subnet

thanks for the reply.

I have managed using port forwarding, route a public IP address to my local pc.

82.xxx.xxx.28. This allows me to remote desktop into the pc.

The issue being that pc needs to log into a specific external application and has to identify itself using a specific public ip address.

When i use the web to identify the public ip address it gives me one of the Public IP address i have in my range 81.xxx.xxx.225 - 229

I need to fix my public address for when i access this application is there a way this can be done ?

i have tried to change the public ip address on the second LAN subnet to one of my public ip address, but this stops my internet working.
thanks
