Anyone got a 2830 yet? was created by mordorf
Has anyone taken the plunge and purchased a 2830 yet?
If so is it any good and is it worth upgrading from a 2820?

They can't get the firmware right (or even released quickly in the UK) on the 2820, so I shudder to think what it's going to be like on a brand new device.
That being said, the 2820 on firmware 3.3.3 was pretty decent, so if they can get close to that it might just be ok.

Interesting ... as i found my 2820VSn works best on firmware 3.3.3 any higher and Dual WAN doesn't work properly.
I'm also considering the upgrade to 2830Vn , Since I'd like the V3 Firewall , Gigabyte Switch , WAN2 Gigabyte and Guest Separate LAN / VLAN
But does the NEW 2830Vn have a faster Processor than the 2820 to handle the new features etc ?

Looks to me like the CPU is the same (maybe more flash though or RAM) with just new interfaces. I think the 2130 is the only one with the new CPU, I'm judging this by the IPv6 capability and the throughput figures on the comparison chart.
