Can confirm that DNS proxy doesn't seem to work, it even passes the ISP's DNS servers through DHCP rather than its own. It's as if the feature's been removed altogether.

Seems slower than my 2820 due to this dns issue , at first it tried to utilise google dns via dhcp ( 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4 ) but websites seems to take upto a minute to load
Tried to enforce ISP dns but not always reliable

Defo slower , even with Tortrents 2.7mb/s vs 200kb/s
Still the best most reliable for me was the 2800 series , which went for 4 years and still going strong at friends house

So no new firmware yet on the new 2830Vn, thought buying another high spec router newer version of the one before would of been better than the one before...
Any news on when these issues will be resolved ?

Hi
Just to say I have also encountered this problem of adding multiple MAC addresses in Access Control causing router lckup and perpetual reboot - at least I could recover as described above. I have also sent Draytek a support ticket on this due to the seriousness of the bug. Hope we 2830 users get a new f/w file upgrade soon!

Has there been any issues with the 2830 yetGhostWorks wrote:
Yes,
I purchased one at the end of March and set it up fine. On attempting to add multipul MAC addresses to the wireless access list and on pressing OK the router locked up and kept rebooting itself. Power cycling and hard reset doesn't work. Spoke to the Vendor who asked me to reboot again and then asked me to send it back.
Received a second one on the 5-4-11 and set it up once again and once again the exactly the same issue arose, so that tells me that there is a firmware issue with the 2830n.
Sent email to Draytek and waiting on a reply.
So back to the old Netgear for now
