Vigor 2710n - What does the QoS light indicate. was created by alanrf
I have recently purchased this router and noticed what appears to be a contradiction.
The QoS indicator is always on, although noticeably less bright than, for example, the ACT and DSL lights.
According to the UK 2710 Series User Guide '... Vigor V models also equip with automatic QoS assurance. QoS Assurance assists to assign high priority to voice traffic ...' . By implication that applies only to the Vigor 2710vn model. Indeed, the only options under Bandwidth Management options on the 2710n are Sessions Limit and Bandwidth Limit
Clearly, as model 2701n, the basic ADSL wireless router, the issue of QoS should not arise. However, I am curious as to why the light should always be illuminated.
Any ideas?
