So, what does happen if you get the real MAC from the PC and type it in to the WOL screen on the router?

And one other thought, this is not something to do with WLAN 'isolation' is it? I've not really tried that properly. That said, I've not tried WOL on a WLAN either, I'm trying to work it out from first principles here :?

If I take the actual MAC of the PC and bind that to the IP then it still doesn't work.

There doesn't appear to be any WLAN isolation ticked and I can ping another AP-700 that is on the other side of the 2820.

Thanks again.

I have a AP 700 and had difficulty in deciding which mode to set it up in. I could not decide if it should have been universal tepeater mode or AP WDS bridge as the documentation did not explain the difference between them. I chose AP WDS bridge and it worked ok. I think you have found the difference between the two. I supect you are not supposed to connect to the hardwired ports in universal repaeter mode so give the WDS mode a try!
