FTTC and 2820n modem code was created by oxygendebt
I know that the modem code (232201) is recommended for the UK. Does anyone with FTTC have any comments about this? Does it still 'work' best, or have you had better sync/throughput with a different code?
I'm currently running 3.3.4_232201 on Be ADSL2+, and it's very stable. Shortly to move to an FTTC provider.
thanks
Jon

Modem code on the vigor doesn't matter on FTTC as you won't be using the vigor's modem any more.

Yeah, at the moment there isn't a VDSL2 modem available other than the one BT are supplying for their FTTC service, which is similar enough to a Vigor 120 modem in functionality.
You can connect that to an ethernet port on the router (so that's really only the 2600, 2800 and 2710 that can't do that) and set it up as a PPPoE connection.
