USB Modem Drops Out was created by bernardk
I have just purchased a 2820Vn and as yet the ADSL line is not active and so I am using the 3G modem option. The modem connects fine but after about 20 minutes idling, the modem drops out. The only way I can see of re-establishing a connection is to remove and reinsert the stick.
Details:
Router 2820Vn, 3.3.5 (Nov 2010), ADSL F/W 232201 Annex A
Modem: ZTE MF627, Operator - 3, Set on WAN2, Always On.
WAN1 is currently set as always On, with enabled set to No.
1) Any ideas on why the USB stick drops out?
2) is there a way to remotely reset the USB modem without physical discinnect / re-insert?
