2830Vn - Conflicted IP was created by flump1966
Hi,
I have just purchased a 2830Vn to replace my 2820n. The router is new out of the box, I connected 1 Laptop via RJ45 to port 1 on the router and powered the 2830Vn up. No other connections have been made and the wireless on the laptop is off. once the router was powered up I connected via the Web UI as admin / admin. Without changing any setting or config I had a look at the various option pages. When I got to the Diagnostics tab and looked at the DHCP Table I saw the following:
LAN1 : 192.168.1.1/255.255/255/0, DHCP server: On
Index IP Address MAC Address Leased Time HOST ID
1 192.168.1.255 00-50-7F-78-47-30 CONFLICTED IP
1 192.168.1.0 00-50-7F-78-47-30 CONFLICTED IP
1 192.168.1.1 00-50-7F-78-47-30 CONFLICTED IP
The router has the following firmware: 3.3.6 232201 - Build date/ Time: Nov 5 2010 10:54:23.
As stated above, there are no connections to the router except the power and 1 RJ45 to my laptop and the laptop has it's wireless turned off.
I have emailed tech support, and I am waiting their reply.
If anyone has any ideas on how to fix, or is the router firmware duff?
Thanks,
Neil.

Hi,
Draytek support have come back with the following:
This is known issue with current firmware on 2830.It has been reported to draytek engineers and soon we should get the firmware to resolve this problem. Please keep any eye on our website for latest updates.
Please remember, this is just cosmetic/display issue on router and doesn't affect any routing issues in network.
I have also found out that when setting up vlan's, once you click OK to set it up, the router will freeze up and the only way to restart / access it, is to do a factory reset via the reset button on the front of the router. Lets hope the next firmware update sorts that as well.
Neil.

That's not a bug, it's just that if you tick Enable for each VLAN, that also enables tagging for that VLAN - all you actually need to do is assign a VLAN to a port / SSID & LAN. The reason it appears to freeze is because none of your network is sending the appropriate tag so the router's just ignoring it.
You can have tagging enabled if you've got a switch etc that supports it but make sure to leave VLAN0 unticked and assign ports to it so that you can still access it without tagging.

Hi,
Basically, enable the vlan option, assign Ports, SSID's and LAN but do not enable the TAG option.
I will try again this weekend.
Thanks for reply.

I've got the same conflictes with both LAN1 ( 192.168.1.0 ; 192.168.1.1 ; 192.168.1.255 ) and LAN2 ( 192.168.3.0 ; 192.168.3.1 ; 192.168.3.255 )
I use VLAN with out tagging ( port and SSID based VLAN )
