2950 with FTTC? was created by abilas
Hello
Have a client that has a 2950 dual wan router, heard that the throughput on some older devices might not be supported with the BT modems. Basically was told that the router may throttle the bandwidth of the connection as it may not be supported.
The device supports PPPoE and is currently using a Draytek 100 modem, any help would be appreciated regarding this as my client now have FTTC available in their area.
Thanks

The 2950 certainly shouldn't have any problems, it's got around 100MBps of throughput - you'd just need to use the openreach modem that BT supply to use with the VDSL2/FTTC connection (which tops out at around 40Mbps right now)
