2820n blocking SIP registrations was created by timsmith
Hi
Ive just installed my new 2820n and having made progress on the public subnet I was hoping to use, Ive now come across another problem.
I have an Asterisk VoIP server running currently on an internal IP address - this is exactly as it was with my previous router and its config hasnt changed. All Ive done is set the Draytek to have the same LAN1 IP (10.0.0.1) and plug it all together.
Now for some reason, all the SIP registrations both inbound and outbound are timing out and I have no idea why. Ive tried turning off as much of hte firewall on the Draytek as I can.
To test further, Ive configured a Softphone on my (wireless) laptop to try and register with the same SIP account (Sipgate) - that also fails. However, if I VPN into my office, it then immediately succeeds so it really seems that the Draytek is stopping it for some reason.
Any ideas?
thanks
Tim

I have the same with a Siemens Gigabit SIP server and still attempting to resolve but the measures so far I have tried are disabling sip_alg and DDOS.
Both require you to telnet to Vigor username admin password admin default.
Comands:
sys sip_alg 0 - disables sip alg
sys commit - appy changes
dos -d - disables ddos
sys commit
sys reboot - reboot router
These may help you but so far have not for me
