2820 and BT Openreach modem was created by kingussie
Hi
We have just upgraded our broadband to BT Infinity Business and have our 2820 connecting correctly after a bit of fiddling around. We have a customer who wants the same setup but has BT Infinity Home Hub, we can get a good connection but can't access Internet, looks like some sort of DNS thing. Does anyone know if there's a difference between the setups of the two packages? Thanks

Is the draytek on 192.168.1.1 and the home hub on 192.168.1.254? That would stop internet access from working as local PCs would be trying to reach .254 directly rather than using the router as the gateway.
The best setup, is if you've got the white openreach modem is to plug that into WAN2 and set up the connection using PPPoE which will work best.

the IP and gate way of the LAN side I don't thing is an issue
we use 192.168.23.1 as the router IP gate way ..
Yes it is using the open reach modem on WAN2 and connecting OK
we can ping egwww.bbc.com ok
but surfing is like as if in teacle
Take the same hardware same setting aprt form username and password
and it will fly on a infinty buseness connection
revert back to the BT Home hub and it too flys on the Home system
