LAN issues. was created by chris-w
I have just picked up a new Draytek 2830n and had a few teething issues. After getting it all hooked up to my Internet provider I was having issues getting the LAN (wired) to work properly.
I used to have a Gigabit network switch plugged in to my LAN port #1 on my last router then I woulld have all 6 of my machines hard wired in to this. This works fine if you ONLY used LAN 1. If I then plug in my NAS drives to LAN ports 2 and 3 the router immediatley stops providing internet to the LAN 1.
I dont have a lot of experience and have tried reading through the instructions so please be gentle
Any help would be really appreciated as I'm keen to learn how to get the most out of this router.

That sounds a little like IP conflicts. Are the NAS boxes using DHCP or static? Do the IPs conflict?
