2820n and qos for voip was created by dablair
Hi,
I have set up QOS as per the articlehttp://www.draytek.co.uk/support/kb_vigor_qos.html but for voip (sip + rtp). However it doesn't seem to be working?
I have enabled QOS in 'both' directions.
I have set up Class 1 with 70% ratio and the appropriate services for sip (5060-5070) and rtp.
I have enabled UDP Bandwidth control.
When I click on Quality of Service->Wan1->Setup->'online statistics' I can see that everything is going through the 'Others' class and nothing is going through the 'voip'.
I have verified that the phones are using the ports set up in the QOS.
I can't see why it's not working?
Thanks,
Dave

Did you get any further with this? I had exactly the same issue and found that switching off QoS gave better performance than when it was on.
In fact with certain combinations of QoS, I found that most of the services including web services stopped working or degraded over time.
If you did get anywhere please let me know
Thanks in advance
Ian

I have the same issue. Everything set-up but all traffic passing through the 'Others' channel.
Has anyone got this working?

Get rid of the service type criteria and just do it by the phones IP address (assuming youre using IP phones). See if this data then shows up in the correct class

I think I've got it working here. Certainly when I make a VoIP call, I see the VoIP service come up.
