Been playing around with the new router after upgrading from a Vigor 2800VG.
I noticed the new model has these 2 settings
Dynamic DNS and uPNP
Both weren't enabled when I set it up, but I have ticked them.
I was wondering what they do and if indeed they are required.
It's a home use setup I have and I'm trying to maximise speed so not sure if they should be on or off?

dynamic dns just uses something like dyndns or noip to track you along the internet if you have a dynamic ip.
its used for when you host a server and you have a dynamic ip you have the same address pointing to you all the time, unless your hosting a server just disabled it again.
