Router Admin Password !! was created by bflynn
Hi All
THe Admin password on a router in the work has changed twice in the last month. I have had to wipe it in order to gain access...... Am I being over suspicious or do you think I have a hack in the company ??
I would love to gain access to see if any changes have been made...
Any thoughts ??
Thanks again
BIlly

Have you got 'Management from the Internet' locked out? It is on mine! I also changed the management port away from 80 to something else. Makes life harder for a hacker, not impossible though.
It certainly sounds like a hack, though internal or external is hard to tell.
I would be very suspicious if that happened to me:o

Are you connecting to the router http:// ? if so then some network sniffing could be picking up the password, even after you change it !
If you only access the Vigor using https:// then do you still have problems?
I am aware of some malware which accesses modem/routers, then changes the DNS servers to the malware owners evil dns and other misdemeanours.
