Vigor 2600 WE - Modem off - Router Only? was created by sk_from_mk
I have been using the 2600 for the last 8 years as my main router, I quite like the WAN Alias and routing aspects apart from it being rock solid!
My ISP has got me upgraded to ADSL2+ and while the 2600 still connects and works but it is not able to operate at the speeds of my other modem router (Netgear DG834).
I am able to make the DG834 work as a modem only and another router (Linksys) to work as a router. So far I have been unable to make the 2600 work as a router only.
I was wondering if it was possible to switch off the modem of a 2600 and make it connect to the ISP as a router only?
Thanks

Unfortunately no, the 2600 series definitely can't work as an ethernet router / bypass the modem.
