3300v 802.1q port mirroring was created by servicetech
Hi,
i have a 3300v on which the 802.1q vlan has been enabled to allow me to have more than one local subnet. however even without the vlans themselved NOT being active i am unable to ping the routers lan ip address unless i have put in the vlan id on the pc network card, and am also unable to ping the other subnets.
Am i missing something, surely i should be able to just have multiple lan subnets without having to use the vlan function.
Any advice welcome. thanks
sean

The 3300 does need the 802.1Q vlan tagging enabled to be able to do multiple subnets however the default config has each LAN going to a different LAN port and doesn't use tagging for those.
You need to tick "enable packet forwarding between subnets" to allow traffic between those VLANs
