Good evening all
Newbie your help appreciated.
Draytek Vigor 2710n
LAN1 display only lights up Amber (not green). Why is this and should I be concerned..

That should mean it's in 10mb mode rather than 100mb I think, check whether the cable is good?
It'll also show as that for most PCs in standby these days, they go to 10mb to save power while off since they'd only be listening for wake on lan packets.

Thanks Voodle. Have checked cables and installed latest firmware onto router still amber light flashes occasionaly.

Have you got something hooked up to LAN1? If so it might be that device. It may only have a 10Mb/s network port in it, or (if its a PC/laptop) the driver needs updating or reinstalling.

Problem Solved! Many thanks to all for your assistance changed firmware on router. Ran new Cat cable. One of them done the trick.
