Hi,

We have two offices. Office A has two subnets 192.168.1.x and 192.168.8.x Office B has one subnet 192.168.2.x

I need to setup a VPN between the two so that devices in office B can see devices on either subnet in office A. Any ideas what equipment I should use and how to configure it? We currently have Vigor 2950s in both offices. I can establish a LAn to LAN link between 192.168.1.x and 192.168.2.x and that works great but how do I add in the second subnet?

Many thanks for any help

Tim

The Office B 2950 > VPN > scroll down to 5. TCP/IP Network Settings > More > and add in the missing 192.168.? subnet. That should do it. Regards, Neal.

Since the 2955 supports only one NATted subnet, I'm not sure how you have the 192.168.8.x subnet able to access the internet using the 2nd subnet feature (since that's for routing public IPs) but you should be able to get it working by entering "vpn pass2nd on" on the router with two subnets for it to pass that through the VPN. That along with the More button and possibly static routes on the 192.168.8.x router if the 2955 isn't the default gateway on that network should get it working for you :)

edit: that's how it works on the 2820 anyways, dunno if the 2955 has that telnet command too
