Can anyone advise me - 2830 Mac filtering was created by bigrich
Hi,
I have a 2830VN, and would like to set up MAC filtering from the Lan Ports, so I guess i need to configure the firewall.
I tried mac control on the wireless for the kids computer, which worked, but when I came back from a business trip. they had cabled into a lan port.
All advice/ pointers greatfully recieved.
Thanks
BigRich

You could allocate everything with a reservation IP address via bind IP to MAC then select strict bind. This way if the IP is not bound to a mac in your list then it wont get an IP address. Normally the MAC for wireless and cable on a laptop are different since there hard coded into them so this way you can restrict it to use the wireless MAC only.
Worth a try.
