2830 - Adsl Stats was created by abgee
Hi Guys,
the router stats for my ADSL connection only show one Attenuation and SNR margin figure unless i'm missing something?
is there a way to see the upsteam and downstream figures seperately?
Also have you guys got any tips for tweaking the ADSL connection (snr margin etc..),
It appears the 2830 has a reduced set of commands compaired to say a 2820
I ran the "ADSL SHOWBINS" and the router reported the Bits per bin, but no SNR or dB figures?? (all zero's)
One last thing, I'm waiting for our ISP/BTw to move us onto the ADSL2+ equipment but was looking at putting Annex M on our line,
I've read on some forums talk of flashing a different modem code if using annex M,
My router is currently on Firmware Version : 3.3.6.1db_232201
Cheers
Matt

ADSL2 Annex M would be nicely served by the modem code 2471202 - via: ftp://ftp.draytek.com/Vigor2830/Firmware/v3.3.6.1%20dual%20band/AnnexA/Vigor2830_DB_AnnexA_2471201.zip

Where and how are you getting this info?
We have BT ADSL2 how do i know if it is Annex M ?
Should I change the modem firmware?

Running Mode : G.DMT
G.DMT is the ADSL1 type ADSL
It would say ADSL2 AnnexM after running mode if your provider is giving you that service. Best regards, Neal.

Thanks, but I still don't understand where I'm meant to be entering 'show adsl' , to get this information?
