In the past we've found similar issues relating to the unit's temperature - solution was to mount it off the wall on spacers so that there was a greater airflow!! Worth a try?

I have got two 2820 Routers at different sites. And after a few years one has got very problems like this and the other has become virtually unusable. Swapping in a new spare 2710 series router has bought line speeds and sync back up.
I am begining to think there might be a small ageing problem in one of the components in the ADSL section, perhaps even a capacitor drying out. I plan to return one to Segcom to have a look at, hopeing to identify what might be an endemic problem with age and so relatively easy to fix.

Did anyone resolve the issue of the router slowing down?
I have to regularly reboot my 2820 to get the speed backup to 3m other it drops slowly to less than 256meg

Would also be keen to hear any further on this topic. My 2820n (running FW 3.3.7_232201) runs fine for a while after a soft reboot but then starts showing an enormous number of RX CRC errors, perhaps 100 every 5 seconds.
It's about 3 years old and has given faithful service up to now.

The problems reported here, I think, tie in to another thread on this forum, certainly as far as the slow down over time is concerned. I don't know how to reference a thread directly but it is called
