Syslog broadcast to multiple IPs possible? - 2820n was created by imcr
I'm running a 2820n (3.3.5.2) and was wondering if it's possible to broadcast to more than one syslog server? The settings field asks for a single IP.
My old Netgear DG834 used to 'broadcast on LAN' — any machine could pick it up, this was very useful.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hello, the broadcast on LAN is just a "feature" if you don't know how to set it manually!
If say for example your LAN is 192.168.0.1-254 then to broadcast on LAN set the syslog IP to be 192.168.0.255
.255 is the broadcast IP in networking convention.
Hope this helps, regards, Neal.
