Set up static ip address for attached devices was created by waynerp
Hi All
I 've just got a 2820n, and it's as i guessed, way more technical than the normal run of the mill netgears i've previously used.
I am trying set up my printers etc with a static ip address and have no idea what menu to look for. i'm guessingit is somewhere in LAN setup but don't know
i would be very grateful if someone could advise
regards

Hi I setup all my devices with static ip addresses on the devices them selves, also on the Router I disable the DHCP server on the | LAN >> General Setup page (DHCP Server Configuration) | I also use Bind To Mac option on | LAN >> Bind IP to MAC| page, Note: If you select Strict Bind, unspecified LAN clients cannot access the Internet, I use this aswell. If you use the DHCP server on the Router, just use the bind to mac feature so each device receives the same ip address.
