LAN to VLAN configuration was created by skarbd
Hello all,
I was looking at the manual for this feature on the 2850 and saw that more than one port can be bound to the same VLAN, but I didn't see a example of the same port, say P1 carrying multiple VLANS. I assume that this this can be done, so that P1 could carry say VLAN 1, 2 and 3.
Also I noticed that there still isn't the ability to put a small description next to the Bind MAC address to IP, so devices can more easily identified beyond just their MAC address, does anyone know if it's going to be added?
Thanks

Hi,
What you want to do, it´s whats called a "VLAN Trunk".
You can check a pratical example on DrayTek HQ site :http://www.draytek.com/user/SupportAppnotesDetail.php?ID=983 (check page 4+ "II Tag Based VLAN")
Please remember in order to allow this setup, you need a Layer2 switch behind DrayTek Router.
Hope this helps,
regards,
rj

Thank you for that, I thought it was possible but didn't want to assume anything.
