Router intermittent rebooting was created by cabot
Hi All
i am hoping someone will prove i am not going bonkers? i have a customer who has been running a 2830n for some time now then all of a sudden the router started rebooting itself for no reason, so i replaced the router with a 2830n and after some hours they reported the same issue, i replaced the router with a 2830VN after a few hours the same (few hours being anything between 18 & 25 hrs).
after some weeks we now hove had a router running for 4 days constant then all of a sudden bang the router reboots and has now been running for around 3 hours. do anyone know of any reason why this could happen? i am holding off from saying what i think is going on on site at the moment as i want to ensure i am correct in my thinking by asking other professionals their opinions.
all comments welcome
thanks in advance

Thanks RJ
i agree you may be correct in what you say however the same routers run without fault when returned to my office so i think this is a site issue?

Hi,
It could exist several reasons (ex: ADSL line quality (if using ADSL port) ; Network flow on customer site ; etc etc etc)
Latest fw's would address several similar issues (better throughput handling, for example).

rj
