Using 2710 as a switch

is it possible to use the 2710 with DHCP off and a set IP as a LAN switch connected to another DHCP enabled 2820? I have it working but keep getting client IP's assigned with same MAC in bind to mac table whereas the DHCP table is true with no duplicate MAC's

I've got a 2710 and switch on it without using the DHCP functionality. Not many ports though & 10/100 (bleh!)
