2800G upgrade to 2830N was created by lectrician
Hi.
I have had a 2800G running for sometime with little or no issues. I bought a new 2830 as a replacement, and have set it up identically.
The 2830 works fine for a bit and then the internet is crippled - pages take minutes to load and timeout. Parts of pages load and it hangs. Reboot the router and all works fine for a short period again, but then it does the same once more.
If I swap back to the 2800G everything works fine and dandy!
I have tried disabling firewalls and QOS but cannot find a reason for this?
Any ideas?
I currently have a very expensive white brick!
Thanks

Does the 2830 have an MTU setting (like the 2820) on the Internet Access page - if so, try setting it to, say, 1478.

Thanks - There is no MTU size in the web config, but it can be changed via Telnet.
It is currently set to 1442.
Is this the wrong or right side of your 1478??

Right side. You might be able to increase it to get a bit more throughput, but the setting you have is unlikely to be the cause of your problem.
