2850n & Vigor 120 Modem Server Access problems was created by njgriffiths
Dear All,
We have recently brought and set up a 2850n and Vigor 120 moden. Both are connected to two static ips from two differnet providers. We need to access our server remotely occasionaly and we have set up portforwarding via NAS with corresponding ports going directly to the internal server ip address. What ever configuration we use, it doesnt want to talk to the server. We can access the router remotely just fine. It also doesnt allow access to web outlook, but strangley VPN connections to the server are ok.
Any ideas anyone?

Sounds like the same old problem, check the system maintenance\management menu, the chances are that the ports you wish to use are already in use on the router.
Normally it's just 80 and 443 which cause a problem, change these to some other port number and your NAT rules will then work as expected.

Problem Solved, I had not changed port 443 on the router by mistake, I thought I had!
