V2830 syslog to server IP was created by mtcsltd
I'm trying out the SYSLOG to Server IP address logging, and want to send syslog data to Papertrail (papertrailapp.com). They have sent me a URL and a port number, but when I code the port number into the Destination Port field under the Server IP Address on the Syslog Maintenance Setup in the router, the port number always reverts back to 514.
Is this a firmware issue? It should let me code a value other than 514.
The firmware version I'm using on my router is 3.3.6.1db_232201.
Thanks for any advice.

Note: I have upgraded to 3.3.7.1_232201 but it has the same issue.

Not tried it but if you are sending the traffic out externally could you not try a NAT rule to send the traffic from port 514 to the required port needed by papertrailapp.
Just a thought.

Hi John, thanks for your suggestion. I will keep it in mind. I'm exploring the use of my own syslog server currently.
