Remote SNMP monitoring was created by xela
Hi all,
Is it possible to fetch SNMP info through the WAN link? The situation is that I have a hosted Linux server and would like that to poll my various adsl connections and routers and keep all the graphs in one place.
So, 1) is it possible? And 2) how do I secure the snmp info?
Thanks

Hi, I believe it will be possible if you put a port forward or a port redirection in to the routers internal LAN address, I would advise using something other than the default SNMP port
Then for the security you can make the community names something obscure and set the host IP addresses in the System Management > Management menu so that it is locked down.
