Posting mainly to report my PSU gone dead as well
Dont know if is something to do with 2850 or just the PSU or a specific series batch or either both units
I send first the dead PSU to draytek for them to confirm, then they send me free replacement one...No problems8)

@babis3g,
I wish you luck.
I'd like to give Draytek the benefit of the doubt, and I'll repost when I've got my new PSU to report any results, positive or negative.
However, judging by the number of frustrated users, numerous issues and negative comments I'd say that Draytek has dropped the ball with the 2850 series, whether firmware, hardware or 3rd party components.

I have just purchased a new 2850VN Annex A for my Be there ADSL.
Before I take it out of the box please advise if I am going to have a problem as described by users and if so is there a firmware upgrade that know sorts this out, otherwise I will returnd the router to Broadband buyer.
Advice please.

@probel,
Hi there. My real problem was with the PSU, which failed completely.
I've received a new one which is now working.
I have not yet reconnected the Draytek as a DSL modem, only as a router, as I'm using the Be-provided Thomson router as part of their telephone line troubleshooting process. I am still experiencing line issues with the Thomson working as the modem. This will remain in place until BT have checked the line on Friday, 24th Aug.
So, my advice in the meantime is to try the Draytek. I did not have any disconnection issues on the Be line for the first 6 weeks, so I can not blame the Draytek specifically for this problem.

Thankyou for the prompt reply.
So you do not think it is the DrayteK?
As you have been through the heart ache already, which is the best firmware release to use for BE?
Kind regards
