Guide for setting up Syslog tool was created by nps
Is there a guide to setup the syslog tool.
I have it installed and enabled the syslog to 192.168.1.17 and port 514 from my Vigor 2820Vn. However in syslog I cant see how to connect to that server.
In tool setup it has a list of IP port and From rooter IP. How do I use these?
Thanks
Nigel

You don't syslog is a 'push' service.
Once you have configured the Draytek you need to configure the syslog server to listen at the correct port/IP on the logging terminal - You may need to set the syslog.conf facility number if its a linux box which you use to run the logger.
I have syslog running on all my routers pointing back to Linux servers.
If you need more specific details reply here and I'll see if I can find you something.
