2820n reboot loop / crashes was created by ian.h
Hi all..
I've just picked up a 2820n to use with my Virgin Media connection, but it would seem like the router wants to constantly reboot itself in a regular cycle.
I downloaded the latest firmware update (Vigor2820_V3.3.7.2_A_232201) but this seems to be worse in as far as it won't even allow me to access any of the config pages.. as soon as I do, the ACT light goes out and it crashes and reboots itself.
I'm not familiar with these types of router in general (my previous setup was an old Pentium4 PC running FreeBSD and NAT) so I'm not sure what I should be trying here now.
Very open to all suggestions / options.
TIA for any info.
Regards,
Ian

Hi Neal..
Thanks for your reply.
I've attempted this various times now with various different versions of firmware, but doesn't appear to make a difference.
I've now tried: 3.3.5.2, 3.3.7, 3.3.7.1, 3.3.7.2
Even with the router switched on and absolutely nothing connected to it at all, just the power cable, it reboots itself.
Any other thoughts / ideas?
Regards,
Ian
