DoS Protection 2130 was created by cyclo
One of the game servers I run was DoS'd the other day, didn't last long - a minute at the most, but it was long enough to make the server completely unusable. I've noticed the 2130 has DoS defence.
I haven't enabled it as I'm unsure what a good PPS value would be. Does anyone have any ideas? I have 70mbit down / 20mbit up
Thanks.

I refer to page 134 of the user guide...
Try setting each value to 7 (therefore 2^ 7 = 128 pps by my calculator) and test. That might be too low for a game server so just increment by 1 at a time if you find your clients are getting kicked!
Rate The unit is packet per second (pps). Use the drop down list to set the rate for data transmission. The rate is 2^n, where n is equal to or less than 15, or "No Limit". The unit of the rate can be either pps (packets per second) or kpps (kilopackets per second). The configuration indicates the permitted packet rate for unicast, multicast, or broadcast traffic across the switch.
