srv dhcp primWINS clear (3.3.7.2_2471201) not working; bug? was created by briain
Hi
I've just updated my 2820Vn to FW 3.3.7.2_2471201 and all seems well, but I have noticed an odd bug; I can set it okay, but once set, I just can't clear it:
Prior to setting it:
> srv dhcp primWINS ?
%% srv dhcp primWINS <WINS IP address>
%% srv dhcp primWINS clear
% Now:
Setting it:
> srv dhcp primWINS 192.168.yy.zz
Testing it:
> srv dhcp primWINS ?
%% srv dhcp primWINS <WINS IP address>
%% srv dhcp primWINS clear
% Now: 192.168.yy.zz
Using an XP SP3 PC, ipconfig /all now shows the primary WINS server as 192.168.xx.yy, so all looks well.
Clearing it and testing it:
> srv dhcp primWINS clear
> srv dhcp primWINS ?
%% srv dhcp primWINS <WINS IP address>
%% srv dhcp primWINS clear
% Now:
But after IP release/renew on the XP box (or after rebooting the XP box) ipconfig /all still shows the primary WINS server entry.
To sort it, I had to reset the Draytek to factory default and then re-apply a previously saved configuration file.

Was this created in a different firmware version from the 3.3.7.2 ? I would only ever load configs created in the same version of firmware, as the fields don't always exactly line up correctly otherwise, and can give unpredictable strange results....re-apply a previously saved configuration file...Briain wrote:
