Vigor 2850n with Sky FTTC? was created by mrt0ad
Hi beautiful people:
I'm looking at the Vigor 2850n to replace the "default" Sky router.
At the moment I'm running pFsense, which is a really powerful piece of kit, but due to the voids in my knowledge is something that I need to investigate and tinker with in a VM while the actual connection is handled by a different appliance that I'm comfortable with.
I've looked at the manual and the integrated xDSL modem does support MPoA but when it comes to sending the client identifier (DHCP option 61) is not clear. The two fields available for DHCP are labelled "Router Name" and "Domain Name", one could, with a bit of imagination, think that "Router Name" = "Client Identifier" but that's an educated guess at best.
Any experiences on this particular?
Thanks for reading.
