2820 Opening ports having a mare was created by davidj
Im not sure if my router has gone wrong as ive set this up before and it works but now I cant get it working.
Heres the issue. I have a standalonde CCTV DVR and am trying to open it so that I can access from the web but everything I do doesnt seem to work.
I'm pretty sure I used to go to port redirection and open the relevant ports.
I've also tried going to Open ports and doing the same there.
Ive also tried going to DMZ and open the IP up for the unit again no success.
The Router is connected via WAN2 which I select.
Ive tried pinging it but no response.
Im really at a loss so any help much appreciated as im pulling my hair out.
Thanks

Is the connection actually online?
Have to enabled the ping from Internet in the Management screen?
What Firmware is the 2820 on, open port usually works fine on them.

Yes the connection is online.
Where in the management screen would I need to enable the ping from?
Firmware 3.3.7.3
Thanks

Sorted now. Reset to factory defaults and started again. Something must have got in there that blocked it. Thanks for all your help.
