Vigor2820n Firmware - 3.3.5.2_232201 was created by scottbaxter
Hi Guys,
I wonder if you can help / point me in the right direction.
We have been running the vigor2820n for the past 3years without any problems, we recently updated the firmware to the latest version but since then we seem to be having an intermitant problem.
Our internet speed is 12mb down / 4mb Up.
What seems to be happening is the router seems to die / hand for a couple of seconds and then pick backup again after 10 / 20seconds...
Has anyone noticed this before?
Thanks,
Scott

Scott,
Interesting, I have similar symptoms, but not sure our problem is the same.
Can you look at your connection stats and see if there are a high number of line errors before the connection drops.
Thanks

Hi Guys,
I personally think its an issue on the firmware.
I have a config file from a backup that was taken in August this year.
Can anyone tell what firmware version I was running at this time from the config file?
Also is it possible to downgrade back to that version?
Thanks,
Scott

HI first ... latest firmware is 3.3.7.3 from here
http://www.draytek.com/user/SupportDownloads.php
or here
http://www.draytek.co.uk/support/downloads.html
read this instructions first if you going to give a try but you need use the rst file for resetting everything and start all settings from begin (eliminate possible previous bugs)
http://www.draytek.co.uk/support/download/readme_v2820.txt
i will say give a go but you need to use rst file and start everything from the begin
Reading via back up what firmware was, i dont think there is a native program so you may need look something like openfile or so and develop your own function to open and read the files .... best is to contact support and send them the file
Still can downgrade sure but bear in mind you need to select again rst file and do master reset and start everything from begin
3 years ago was released 4 firmwares and can find them here after the support will let you which one was
ftp://ftp.draytek.com/Vigor2820/Firmware/
note at this link is not there the latest 3.3.7.3
