have you got any of the DOS stuff enabled? that can effect traces and pings...

I guess it's worth checking scion but I'm pretty sure that those settings should not affect LAN connections pings and are for WAN connections.
If it is then that's a serious bug and you should report any findings to support.

Seems more something to do with the machine passing infos but i may be wrong
As i posted up it happened to me to an other connection and did not use any draytek there but my laptop was very old so never bothered to find out or update my drivers for the nic card
A suggestion: Have you check settings at you nic card or update the drivers?

Hi..thanks to everyone who posted in response to this.. I found that with the vlan tagging option enabled on a subnet, the first hop times out however, turning the VID tag option off makes it work fine on any machine I try from so I'm sending my config off to Draytek for them to take a look at

Sure sounds like a bug. The router should always be contactable for all the vlan subnets.
