Bandwidth management 2830 limit list doesnt work was created by sgictdt
Hi,
Just got a 2830 and have 4 VLANs that cannot talk to one another which is what I want. All works fine and all of them can get the internet.
One thing I wanted to do was set the 4th VLAN to have bandwidth limits (public wifi) but when I enable it, it affects all VLANs.
The IP addresses are as follows
VLAN 1 - 192.168.1.X
VALN 2 - 192.168.2.X
VLAN 3 - 192.168.3.X
VLAN 4 - 192.168.4.X
Im enabling the Bandwidth Management and adding the following into the limitation list
Shared
Start IP 192.168.4.2
End IP 192.168.4.254
Tx 400kb
RX 4000kb
When I click "OK" the bandwidth management works as im doing a speed test from a machine in that range but when I test the speed test from any other machine on any of the other VLANs with an IP outside of the scope of bandwidth management, it gets restricted as well. If i disable the bandwidth management then everyone speeds up again.
It's on the latest firmware and I did reboot it after enabling the bandwidth management

Did yuo set the defaults on Tx/RX to 0 so the rest get the unlimited amount?
You can do the same with the Smart Limit Bandwitch set both to 0 and the rest not in the range will get Unlimited bandwidth
