2920 setup problem with talk talk was created by aroscow
hi
im trying to install a draytek 2920 onto a talk talk fibre broadband
there is a bt open reach box with ethernet cable to router supplied by talk talk.
i want to remove the talk talk router from the setup since there are up to 30 devices online and it crashes.
have tried to get the draytek setup but the draytek does not log on - states error with username and password.
talktalk help are very poor, as is their english at times. they tell me there is no username and password for the account just the phone number.
the draytek requires at least a username to do its setup.
does anyone have anything they can offer in terms of help to get this router set up please?
many thanks all
best wishes
adrian

HI
Latest firmware from the international web is 3.6.3 which fixes many issues
connect the openreach modem to wan2 as is 10/100/1000
go to router 2920 and interface then wan 2 >> WAN >> Internet Access
click from the box pppoe (if not appearing get access from ipv6 next of wan2 drop box)
choce top left pppoe and enable it left top page
type your tt account name and password, apr detect
MTU set to 1492(i know should be 1500)
Now right page click Fixed IP: No (Dynamic IP)
click ok down page to save
Now go to WAN >> General Setup wan 2
enable yes
active mode always on
click save to reboot and reboot the bt modem as well
if not works like that then at wan >> internet access choice static or dynamic ip >> enable >> arp detect>>mtu 1500 >>right page Obtain an IP address automatically>> click ok to save and not forget enable wan 2 at general set up and always on
