Router Completely Stuck was created by mostof
Hello,
I have a Vigor 2820n and it's been working flawlessly (almost) for the past 3 years. Suddenly today, I noticed that none of the clients on the network are getting an IP address. Checking the router, I saw that all the lights were off except for the DSL light which blinks endlessly. Tried powering it off then on (I left it off with power disconnected for like 10 minutes), didn't work. The factory reset button does nothing at all, tried pressing it for more than 10 seconds while the router was on - nothing. Tried pressing it while router was switched off and turned it on while the reset button was pressed - nada. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like you need to get a 2830n in the post to you...
But one thing to try; can you set a static IP on your PC and use the Draytek Router tool to force firmware into it? Try it on the IP you had for the router and if different also try 192.168.1.1.
I thought I had once killed a 2820PBX with a firmware update that went wrong but the router tool saved me - although it was different flashing green lights to yours.
Good Luck!

Have you checked the output from the power supply. It has been known for them to go faulty- not necessarily fail completely.
